Vessel hit by a missile of Russian Navy ship, while anchored off Oktyabrsk, Ukraine. The superstructure was on fire and 3rd engineer died. BSC gave a $5,05,000 cheque to the family of the deceased engineer, 16 Jun.

UPDATE: 28 surviving crew members were evacuated at the port of Oktyabrsk during the night of March 3rd. The vessel has been declared abandoned because of its condition after being hit by two missiles on March 2nd while at the small port’s anchorage, killing one crew member and destroying the bridge of the vessel. After the death of the third engineer was reported the Bangladeshi Foreign Ministry and Ministry of Shipping acted.
Vessel has been stranded in Mykolaiv in the Dnieper Estuary ever since the conflict between Russia and Ukraine started. The sailors called on the Bangladesh government to take necessary steps to rescue them quickly as it's impossible for them to take ship anywhere because of Russian Navy presence.
