Ferry was caught in strong winds and contacted pier when trying to berth at Ibiza, on arrival from Valencia. Her hull was breached above waterline. All passengers were disembarked and vessel was not allowed to sail until repairs were done.

Reports that GNV SEALAND broke off mooring line during unmooring maneuver at Ibiza port, Balearic island, and collided with VOLCAN DE TIJARAFE. Both ships suffered slight damages but left Ibiza in accordance with their schedules later same day. Strong winds believed to be the main cause of the accident.
