Casualty details
Fire broke in one of the containers when the vessel was 35nm north of Banda Aceh, western Sumatra in the Andaman sea. Three-quarters of the container was burned, but the crew was able to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading. The vessel was monitored by the National Search and Rescue Agency and the Directorate General of Sea Transportation (Ministry of Transportation) of Malaysia and was been deemed safe to sail to Port Klang where it arrived on April 22nd. The fire was suspected to have been caused by a short circuit.
