Vessel suffered engine failure in Hwasun port, Jeju island, Korea, while maneuvering to berth. The ship was stopped short of breakwater by joint efforts of rescue boats and tugs, and was towed to berth. HONG HE XING arrived at Hwasun from Qinhuangdao, China, with cargo of wind turbine blades and sailed on 28 December, bound for Qingdao.
