The brand new container ship was out of control while maneuvering in Thi Vai river curve, Cai Mep, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, en route to Shenzhen. She struck bulk carrier VASSOS 2, berthed at Interflour Terminal, causing the collapse of some 46 meters of pier, and destruction of conveyor and suction cargo handling equipment. WAN HAI A02 suffered portside stern dent with possible breach. Anchored at Vung Tau outer anchorage.
